Under the coordination of Department of Plant Health Researches of General Directorate of Agricultural Research and Policies, the 5th meeting on “Standard Experimental Methods of Agrochemicals and Technical Instructions of Plant Protection” was organized at our Center (UTAEM) between 09 -12 January 2012.

FAO has been holding a training in IARTC for trainers on obsolete pesticides inventory and safeguarding on 28th November - 9th  December 2011 with the attending of 23 participants from Bangladesh, Iran, Egypt, India, Jordan, Lebanon, Pakistan, Turkey, Syria and 2 trainers from FAO Italy.

Workshop on modern irrigation techniques is arranged by under the protocol who are signed by Republic of Turkey Ministry of Food Agriculture and Livestock and Union of Agricultural Chambers for transfer about, new product types and the new agricultural technologies which developed in the world to the producers in International Agricultural Research and Training Center of Ministry of Food Agricultural and Livestock

Within the framework of the agreement between General Directorate of Agricultural Research and Policies and Turkish Cooperation and Development Agency, the Training on “Vegetable Growing” will be organized in 10-15 October 2011 in our Center. The Training will be held with 15 participants from Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Crimea, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and Mongolia.

10 researchers from 5 different research institutes with to be Alata Horticultural Research Institute, West Mediterranean Agricultural Research Institute, Yalova Atatürk Central Horticultural Research Institute, Aegean Agricultural Research Institute and the Black Sea Agricultural Research Institute, will participate as trainer.

General Directorate of Agricultural Research and Policies and Turkish Cooperation and Development Agency have organized a training on ‘Organic Farming’at International Agricultural Research and Training Center between 03 and 08 October 2011.

The 18 participants are professionals from Azerbaijan, Crimean, Georgia, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Mongolia, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan. The researchers working at Ankara Soil, Fertilizer and Water Resources Center Research Institute, Bandırma Sheep Research Station, Bornova Plant Protection Research Station, Egirdir Fruit Growing Research Station, Yalova Ataturk Central Horticultural Research Institute, our Center and Ankara General Directorate of Plant Production and General Directorate of Food and Control will be contributing to the program as lecturers

General Directorate of Agricultural Research and Policies and Turkish Cooperation and Development Agency have organized a training on ‘Post Harvest Physiology and Technology’ at International Agricultural Research and Training Center between 19 and 24 September 2011.

The 17 participants are professionals from Azerbaijan, Crimean, Georgia, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Mongolia, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan. The researchers working at Ataturk Central Horticultural Research Institute, Bornova Plant Protection Research Station, Egirdir Horticultural Research Station and Izmir Provincial Directorate of the Ministry will be contributing to the program as lecturers.
